Body-shape guides give pointers, but nothing replaces a fitting: a mermaid dress can surprise someone who thought they were « ball gown only ». In our Cannes fitting room we look at posture, torso length and comfort in motion.
This guide helps you narrow your search before your appointment. Then refine at your fitting in Cannes and on our wedding dresses page.
Our collections
Mermaid dress
The mermaid fits bust and hips, then flares at the knee. It flatters hourglass figures and creates a very feminine line.
Check comfort if you climb stairs or dance for hours: walk in the dress. A light or detachable train can help.
Ball gown
Full skirt from the natural waist or hip. It balances shoulders and hips and looks majestic in photos.
Ideal if you want a defined waist without tight hips. Volume can be adjusted depending on the model.
Sheath dress
Straight or slightly flared line, close without being bodycon. Chic, modern, often minimalist.
Suits those who love a clean silhouette. Flowing crepe is often more comfortable than stiff satin.
Bustier and shoulders
Bustiers structure the upper body; wide straps or sleeves add support. If you have narrow shoulders, a structured neckline or sleeves can balance the silhouette.
At your fitting, raise your arms and test hugs: support should stay comfortable all day.
Why the fitting decides
Body shape is not a single letter: torso length, posture and personal taste matter as much. Our Cannes advisors cross your feelings with experience to suggest 6 to 8 relevant dresses.
